Principal's Message

Hello, 

We are excited to welcome many new students and all of our 5th graders from Oak Hill to Clear Creek Amana Middle School! We are also eager to see our returning 7th and 8th grade students. It’s an exciting time to be a Clipper! This past year was a good year at CCAMS and we look forward to doing even better during the 2024-2025 school year. 

We have had a strong tradition of our students outperforming the other students across the State in the classroom. We will continue to push our students to do their best. We try to focus on each student and make sure that they are receiving the challenge and support that they need. Our goal is simple, we want each student to do their best and make at least a year's growth each academic year! 

Our Band, Choir, and Drama department have big plans for this school year. We have many students across all three grades that participate in the Arts and look forward to the continued strong performances we have had in the past. We also offer many clubs that are open to students in all three grades. We challenge each of you to get involved in something beyond the school day! 

This fall we will be moving our 7th and 8th grade athletic programs to the CRANDIC Conference. This will allow us to match up against schools with larger participation rates that better match our huge number of student athletes. We are looking forward to the new opportunities as we will face off with schools from Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, and Marion.
